oh Mr sun.. welcome..

May 01st, 2011

I have decided that tulips are my new favorite flower..  the colours are just perfect.. and I love them when they are closed and open.. I have never been one for roses.. and my gerber daisy phase ended about 8 years ago..
today we woke up to sunshine.. again.. it is so good for my soul.. we went for two walks yesterday and I just stared at it with my white pale face.. hoping to get some vitamin D.. and I think i worked.. I was able to stay up until 1am reading my book.. our second walk was a tad harder to get out of the house.. but when I looked over at my slug of a child lounging in her striped big girl panties watching caillou for the third time on the couch.. I realized she needed out of the house.. and it was good..
she has discovered the dandy lion.. and every single one we passed in the area.. she ripped out of the ground.. and clenched in her little hand.. the hand that soon became yellow with the rest of her clothes..  seeing as I suffer from the worse hay fever imaginable since the age of 8.. it was hard for me to watch.. I just see pollin and sneezing and red eyes.. and when she wanted hugs and hand holding.. I couldnt say no..
we stopped and got a “treaters” from our local coffee shop and she was able to pick out whichever one she wanted.. which was like gold for her.. of course.. “brown chocolate” won.. we sat outside eating and sharing.. and she just knew this was special.. probably because it was beforedinner.. :0 and half way through she just looked up and said
tank you mama :)
insert my heart melting here..
I have slowed it down since the hospital scare.. and tried to be more patient and get on her level more.. because this really is the last of our moments together.. with just the two of us.. and while I will make efforts to do things with just the two of us.. I know there is a baby that will need to be breastfed and a little red head who will be made second..
but we will always have the pride parade :)
