today.. for the first time.. we left the house.. just the three of us! I had 3 errands to run.. and the thought of leaving them until Dustins day off (Monday) just wasnt possible.. and I am more mobile these days.. so I knew I could do it..

so I figured I would start with the worst one first.. THE BANK! on a Friday no less.. I decided that instead of appearing to be Superwoman and put together.. I was going to be honest with people.. we walked into the bank.. (with my to do list) and waited our turn in line.. and of course.. Brixton starts to cry.. my first instinct is to get the hell out of there.. but I stopped.. took a breath.. and let her cry.. it was a quiet one.. and no one seemed bothered by it but me.. we went to the next teller.. and I just blurted out..

this is our first outing as a threesome!

and he laughed and told me he would be fast.. he asked what I needed.. and I needed to grab the to do list.. I blanked!!.. he joked around with Olive and gave her a sucker.. (her first one :0) and he was very patient with me.. it really helped.. we then had to talk to one of the people in the little cubicles.. so again I was honest with the woman who took our name.. this is my first time out!! lol.. and she got us in right away.. and gave me a list of phone numbers I could call from home with.. instead of coming into the bank.. and she gave me a wink and a kind.. “I GET IT” .. I was touched.. the man was also kind and the bank manager came up and talked to Olive to distract her while I talked to the man.. I really left with a sense ofthis is my villiage.. being a person who rarely asks for help.. it was nice to reach out to these three strangers.. and have people get it! I am not moving mountains here.. I know it was just a simple outing with my two babies.. not three or four.. but it was so nice to not panic and run out and just recluse to my home for the next year..
