oh my God.. I’m a mom..

June 03rd, 2011

that is my favorite line from Sex and the City! where Miranda has that realization that she went from hot single NYC woman.. to a married mom who is about to move to Brooklyn.. love it!!
but that’s how I felt yesterday.. I finally ventured out to walk to see daddy.. and I stopped in for a coffee at my favorite coffee shop.. and I had my cute little lulus on.. and my Bostons Hoodie.. of course once I got inside the building.. I had a major mom breastfeeding hot flash.. I was able to wait through it until my coffee was made.. and we went outside to finish our walk.. but it over took my body.. so in front of a giant row of floor to ceiling windows.. I attempted to take my hoodie off (its a small.. I should probably be wearing a medium ;) and it took my long sleeved shirt up with it! although I hadn’t realized it until my first arm was out and so was my stomach and my belly band.. and if we are being honest.. probably some bra.. I of course then panicked and thought.. screw the sweatshirt.. and just started worrying about my naked arm that was just hanging out.. waiting for the sleeve to come back on.. and I could feel my face go red.. I don’t usually get to embarrassed.. but the hot mess that is hiding under my shirt 9 days post partum was not meant for the 50 patrons enjoying their after work coffee and free WIFI.. I almost died.. and to top it off.. I am trying to keep Olive in birds eye view.. and just get the hell out of there.. and I had my.. OMG I’m a mom moment..
so today.. we stayed close to home.. and painted a barn.. Olive thought it was the best thing in the world to have free range with her paints outdoors..
and I felt like Mr. freaking Rogers with my black sharpie ;) The baby sat inside and it was nice to have some one on one time with my first born..
ahhh.. I am finally getting my chin back.. and some sun!!
we painted.. and played.. and waited for papa.. who took her to go get some ice cream.. while I had a mini one hour break.. if i had the energy.. I would have joined them for ice cream.. my craving for it still hasn’t gone away..
which gave me the perfect opportunity to have Brixtons first photo shoot!
yes.. there will be many with my girls.. I know it!
and there’s my little family watching the Stanley Cup..
ahhh.. life is good..
