I love this town!! our first day with a glimpse of sunshine.. and you know everybody can feel it.. we were out on a lovely lunch date.. sans child.. and everyone was rocking flip flops.. and capris!! sunnies were out.. and people were happy! I like that we know how to appreciate what we have down here.. of course come mid August.. I am sitting indoors a little longer.. heading to the beach every day has lost its flare.. and I am longing for a nice pair of skinny jeans and boots..
today me and Dust headed downtown for the Seattle Women’s Show.. we had a booth for the Mill Creek Town Center.. and our time slot was 12-2.. everything was going smoothly.. until we missed our exit.. and our navigation never factored in the massive detour construction mess that is the viaduct.. so we were lost.. and detoured four times.. and we don’t do well in cars together trying to both backseat drive.. but thankfully we made it just in time to hit the loo.. and start up our booth.. it was a gong show.. we were both not feeling the vibe of selling and talking.. which is normally right up my ally! I love these events.. free giveaways.. stuff to win.. fashion shows.. and the chance of scoring a sweet steamed hot dog.. but today.. not so much..
ha ha
my baby was a wild child.. and was kicking my vagina the whole time.. and standing for 2.5 hours was killing me.. I thought I would stretch out the old sea legs.. and grab myself a drink and a snack.. only to wait in line 10 people to buy my $4.00 bottle of soda.. and I wasn’t about to go for the $7.50 slice of pizza.. it was crazier then a concert.. instead we opted for lunch at Pesos! muuuuch better..
and now I rest.. the christmas pjs are back on.. my baby is resting nicely in the sides of my body.. and my little family is napping upstairs.. thankfully I did score some cute paper things for the nursery.. 3 bags of rice.. and a pampered chef catalogue..
life is good..
